Flood Relief Volunteer Oppoprtunity
In response to the tragedy of the July 4, 2025 Kerr County floods, Texans On Missions is sponsoring volunteer teams of men and women to assist in the rebuild of this devastated community.
On February 23 Highland Country Fellowship is taking a team of volunteers to assist in this worthy undertaking. Three work days (2/24-26). Departing Kerrville February 27.
Per TXM recommendations, our team will be limited to ten members. Volunteers for this mission will be on a first come basis commitment. Volunteers must be 16 years or older.

WHAT TO EXPECT ON-SITE
Volunteers for this mission will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Volunteers must be 16 years or older. Little to no experience is required, and Texans On Mission provides all the tools needed. You will be working alongside experienced contractors or experienced members of our team. You may learn a new trade! Our team will be assigned a home that is under rebuild and pick up where the last team left off. Likely work includes:
- Drywall and insulation
- Fence building
- Cabinet, window installation and window blind installation
- Flooring and trim
- Painting and touchup
- General home repair and punch-list items
LODGING OPTIONS
Option A: Trinity Baptist Church (Kerrville)
Option B: Lions Camp (Kerrville area).
This facility offers lodging for those looking for something other than cots at Trinity Baptist. Cabins have twin beds or bunk twins. All cabins have bathrooms and showers. All linens, towels and pillows are provided. Texas Lions Camp is approximately 15 mins. from Trinity Baptist for breakfast and dinners. The following accommodations are available:
Option C: Volunteers arrange their own lodging.
TXM advises that most AirBnB’s are filled with displaced area residents. There are several motels in the area. Inn of the Hills has been recommended.
* TXM requires us to provide lodging decisions by no later than February 6 in order to make arrangements.
- There is no cost. Classrooms have been transformed into dorms by sex. Showers are available via TXM mobile shower trailer (very clean and adequate). Volunteers are responsible for providing their own cots and sleeping gear.
Option B: Lions Camp (Kerrville area).
This facility offers lodging for those looking for something other than cots at Trinity Baptist. Cabins have twin beds or bunk twins. All cabins have bathrooms and showers. All linens, towels and pillows are provided. Texas Lions Camp is approximately 15 mins. from Trinity Baptist for breakfast and dinners. The following accommodations are available:
- Std. Bunkhouses: $20 per person, per night
- Newer bunkhouses: $30 per person, per night
- Cabins (1-2 bedrooms): $100 per cabin, per night
Option C: Volunteers arrange their own lodging.

MEALS
Trinity Baptist Church will provide breakfast and dinner every service day (starting 2/24 thru breakfast 2/27). Lunches will be provided each day (2/24-26) via Mercy Chefs. In summary, you have no food responsibility.
CLOTHING
Closed-toe shoes, long pants, long-sleeved shirts, caps/hat and clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty. Work gloves! And remember that you will be working three days.
REGISTRATION AND REQUIRED FORMS
All volunteers will be required to complete a registration link (provided by our team leader) that will include assumption of risk, background check and medical release. This is standard policy for TXM.
